Winterthur is a leader in the field of textile studies, thanks in major part to Linda Eaton's expertise as both a curator and as a conservator. Her career at Winterthur had an immeasurable impact on our collections, which have been cared for brilliantly under her leadership as The John L. and Marjorie P. McGraw Director of Collections. Moreover, since Linda taught in the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture, advised master's theses, consulted with the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, and helped countless researchers, she made an indelible mark on textile studies for generations to come.
