Plant a Tree in Memory of a Loved One

Dedicate a tree in the Winterthur Garden in memory of a loved one. Trees are sponsored with a gift of $1,750. Your gift helps support an endowment that cares for the for the many trees across Winterthur's 1,000 acres.

A variety of trees and locations are available within the Winterthur Garden. Our team of horticulturists select the location and tree species based on how they believe the species will do in that location and the long-term plan for the historic garden. Each tree includes a label with a brief message. Once you have made your gift to dedicate a tree, a member of the team will contact you to select a location within the Winterthur Garden and confirm the text for the label.

Trees planted in memory include a brief label. You may enter your inscription in the following box or complete the process with a member of the Winterthur team.

You will receive a thank you letter and tax receipt for your gift. If you would like Winterthur to notify a family member that a gift in memory has been made, please list their name and address in the following box.
